Carlina Peralta is a Researcher, Advocate, and Artist.

She earned an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago specializing in International Development and Gender & Sexuality studies. She also holds dual undergraduate degrees—a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Fine Arts.

Her research interests include treatment-resistant neurological conditions, gender disparities in healthcare, and the intersection of community and culture in shaping healthcare outcomes. She is particularly interested in improving access to resources, social services, and opportunities to enhance community well-being, with a focus on developing and evaluating innovative interventions to address these challenges.

She enjoys pottery, painting, and reading on her spare time. She also loves to cook, bake, and has a passion for music and traveling the world.
